INTERIOR'S TIP

HOW MUCH DO YOU PAY FOR YOUR ELECTRICAL BILLS?

WASHING MACHINES : FRONT LOADERS vs TOP LOADERS.

1.  More gentle on clothes; a front loader works like a human washing clothes, it turns half a circle, and let the clothes drop down by their own weight, and hence pressing against each other like a human would have washed it. Because gravity plays much a bigger role, the front loader spins very slowly during the wash cycle. Compare that to a top loader, usually the clothes will "stick" to one side when the top loader spins the clothes, hence top loaders will need to spin faster during the wash cycle, and some will have this jerking motion to make sure your clothes don't stick to each other.

2.  Use less water; as the clothes are continuously "dropped" from top to bottom, the drum does not need to be completely filled with water, and the usual front loaders will fill the drum to a maximum of 1/3 the drum capacity. In a top loader, to ensure that all clothes are wet, the whole drum need to be filled.

3.  Use less electricity, because the wash speed is slower and less water is used.

4.  More quiet and stable, because of the low wash spin speed.

5.  If you plan to buy a dryer, you can get a front loader which you can stack the dryer on top, the arrangement will be more complicated if you have a dryer + top loader pair in a small place.

Well, it have some bad points as well:
1.  Expensive, from my survey, usually it costs 50% more expensive than top loaders.

2.  People have claimed that for a front loader, you can't open the door halfway of the cycle to add some items, but I never found the need for this anyway.
